Congratulations, Consul! Completing the main story of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is just the beginning. A vast array of new challenges, powerful gear, and hidden secrets await you in the post-game. This section details how to unlock and access all the exciting content available after the credits roll.

New Game Plus (NG+)

Upon clearing the final boss, you'll be prompted to save your game. Loading this clear save file will give you the option to start a New Game Plus. NG+ allows you to replay the story with many of your previous progress carried over, offering a fresh perspective and the chance to tackle content you might have missed.

• What Carries Over:
  • Character Levels (can be adjusted down at the Rest Spot)
  • Class Ranks and Master Arts
  • Hero Recruitment Status
  • Unlocked Heroes and their Ascension Quests (if completed)
  • Unlocked Colonies and their Affinity progress
  • Collected Nopon Coins (Silver and Gold)
  • Money (Gold)
  • Accessories, Gems, and Equipment
  • Collected Collectibles and Materials
  • Unique Monster Tombstones (for re-challenging)
  • Unlocked Fast Travel Points (though you'll need to re-discover them on the map)
  • Expansion Pass content progress (if applicable)
• What Does NOT Carry Over:
  • Story Progress (you start from the beginning of Chapter 1)
  • Quest Progress (all side quests reset)
  • Character Relationships (Heart-to-Hearts need to be re-triggered)
  • Consul Defeat Status (you'll face them again as part of the story)
• NG+ Exclusive Features:
  • Level Down: At any Rest Spot, you can now freely adjust your party's level down to experience the story at a lower difficulty, or to farm bonus experience for Class Ranks.
  • New Accessories: Keep an eye out for powerful new accessories that only drop in NG+ or from specific post-game challenges.
  • Unique Monster Respawns: All Unique Monsters will have respawned, allowing you to re-challenge them for their drops and experience.

Challenge Battles (Land of Challenge)

The Land of Challenge becomes accessible in the post-game, offering a series of difficult combat trials. To access it:

1. Fast Travel to the Great Cotte Falls landmark in the Aetia Region (Upper).
2. Head north from the landmark, following the path until you reach a large, glowing portal.
3. Interact with the portal to enter the Land of Challenge.

Inside, you'll find various challenges with specific conditions and rewards. These battles are excellent for testing your party'composition and earning rare items, including:

• Origin Shards: Essential for crafting the most powerful Gems.
• Noponstone: A currency used to exchange for unique accessories and outfits.
• Exclusive Accessories: Some of the best accessories in the game can only be obtained by clearing specific Challenge Battles on higher difficulties.

Strategy Tip: Pay close attention to the challenge conditions and recommended levels. Optimizing your party's Arts, Skills, and Gems for each specific challenge is crucial for success.

Ascension Quests for All Heroes

Even if you completed all Hero Quests during the main story, their Ascension Quests will now become available. These quests delve deeper into each Hero's personal story and, upon completion, unlock their final, most powerful Class Rank (Rank 20). This significantly boosts the stat bonuses they provide to your party when equipped as a Hero and unlocks their ultimate Master Art.

• How to Trigger: Most Ascension Quests will automatically appear in your quest log or on the quest board in Colonies once you meet the prerequisites (usually having the Hero recruited and reaching a certain point in the post-game). Some may require specific party members or affinity levels with certain Colonies.
• Key Locations: Keep an eye on Colony 0, Colony Gamma, and the City for new quest markers. Many of these quests involve revisiting familiar locations with new objectives.
• Notable Rewards: Beyond the Class Rank 20 unlock, these quests often reward powerful unique accessories or Nopon Coins.

Superbosses and Secret Unique Monsters

Several incredibly powerful Superbosses and hidden Unique Monsters become available across Aionios in the post-game. These foes boast immense HP, devastating attacks, and unique mechanics, requiring careful planning and execution to defeat.

• Locations:
  • Seraphic Ceratin: Found in the Aetia Region (Upper), deep within the Great Cotte Falls cave system. Requires the Wall Climb traversal skill.
  • Dreadking Cthulhu: Located in the Fornis Region, within the sand dunes of the Dannagh Desert, often appearing during sandstorms.
  • Perilwing Ryuho: Soars high above the Pentelas Region, near the Syra Hovering Reefs. Requires the Rope Slide traversal skill to reach its perch.
  • Levialord Empireo: Resides in the deepest parts of the Cadensia Region, within the Erythia Sea's underwater caves. Requires the High Jump traversal skill to access its lair.
• Strategy: These battles are endurance tests. Focus on maximizing damage output while maintaining consistent healing and debuff removal. Consider using specific Interlink Arts and Chain Attack strategies tailored to each boss's weaknesses.
• Rewards: Defeating Superbosses often yields the best accessories in the game, large amounts of experience, and rare crafting materials for ultimate Gems.

Origin's Cradle (DLC Exclusive)

If you own the Expansion Pass, the Origin's Cradle content becomes available in the post-game. This includes additional Challenge Battles, new Hero characters, and powerful new outfits and accessories. Access to this content is typically granted through a new quest that appears in the City or Colony 9 after completing the main story.
