Walkthrough
- 1Immediately past the entrance, find a semi-hidden chest (1/9) against the rock wall containing 3 EYE DROPS.
- 2Speak to the nearby guard for more EYE DROPS.
- 3On the first level, head left onto the promontory for a chest (2/9) containing GIRL'S DIARY, ENTRY 1.
- 4Go to the next level and talk to the goblin to trigger a battle. Afterward, talk to the guard to receive 3 POTIONS.
- 5Cross the bridge and go around the rock until a chest (3/9) containing 2 ETHERS is revealed.
- 6Head upwards to the area exit.
- 7Go through the stockades to fight a trio of goblins. Enter the opening they emerged from to find a chest (4/9) containing a CURE SEED. (Seeds can be used on blank mirage board slots via the Prism Case).
- 8Return and go up the stairs. After two flights, you'll find the Treasure Trove tepee.
- 9Continue up the next flight to face four Red Caps taunting the Brigade Captain. After defeating them, climb the steps to the next platform.
- 10Walk around the fenced-off area to find a chest (5/9) containing 3 EYE DROPS.
- 11Head up the steps to the area exit.
- 12Pass the guard and turn left through the natural archway to find a chest (6/9) containing 2 PHOENIX DOWN.
- 13Return and go up the steps to the next platform. Fight the goblins and goblin guard. Talk to the guard again to receive an ETHER.
- 14Cross the wooden bridge past the guards holding goblin prisoners and go up more steps to the save point.
- 15Walk left through a gap in the fence to find a chest (7/9) containing 3 POTIONS.
- 16Head forward for a cutscene where the Brigade Commander transforms into the Warrior of Light.
- 17You will then fight a boss battle against the Bahamutian Commander accompanied by a Giant Goblin. The Goblin is a tough physical attacker, while the commander is more of an irritation. Keep healing up. Victory rewards you with two ARMA GEMS.
- 18After the boss, you can now imprism all goblin types (though Red Captains may be difficult; use the Subdue ability if needed).
- 19Head back towards the stairs leading up. Near a watchtower and trees, find a chest (8/9) containing 2 WOBBLESTOPPERS.
- 20Head to the area exit near the portal.
Watchplains Secret Area:
- Go down the stairs and across the wooden bridge.
- Find a Black Chocochick inside an enclosure. It's worth good XP and defeating it yields the BLACK CHOCOCHICK MEMENTO, used for transfiguration.
- If you can imprism it (use Subdue or unstack before attacking, then use a potion), you can transfigure the Chocochick from Wellspring Woods without unlocking a mirage board node.
- After defeating or imprisming the Black Chocochick, open the chest (9/9) it was guarding, containing 10 ETHERS.
- Return through the exit portal to Nine Wood Hills.
Encounters:
- Goblins and Mandragoras are weak mirages.
- Black Nakk and Babyhemoth are good mirages for physical attackers.
