Your World of Final Fantasy journey begins in Cornelia! Learn how to defeat the Goblins, find hidden treasures like OCCULT FAN, and start your first townspeople quest.

Alright, so you'll start off near a bridge, with Cornelia, your first town, just chilling in the distance. A train's gonna pull up, and after a little scene, you'll meet the Cactuar Conductor and snag some SEMI-LIFETIME PASSES. This train ride drops you right into Cornelia, but don't get too comfy – you're immediately thrown into a fight against two Goblins and a Goblin Guard. That Goblin Guard is a real pain, always blocking his buddies, so focus him down first!

Once they're all down, Lann's gonna try to capture one, but nope! Turns out these guys are already under someone else's thumb, so you can't imprism them yet. Here's a quick look at their stats:

After that little scuffle, you can finally explore Cornelia. Keep an eye out for a chest on a rooftop – it's got the OCCULT FAN, ISSUE 1 inside! Just remember, you'll need to be in your Jiant form to reach it. Next up, head to Castle Cornelia. Princess Sarah's there and will fill you in on all the troubles plaguing her land.

Once you're free to roam again, head back to the main square and chat with the soldier sporting a '?' icon. He'll kick off your very first townsperson quest! You can find more details on those in the Townspeople Quests section. Down the hill, you'll spot a portal that'll zip you back to Nine Wood Hills. Right at the bottom of the steps leading there, you'll find a save point. Oh, and that cool-looking area with the Chocobos? It's a no-go for now, so don't waste your time trying to get in. Keep heading right and talk to another townsperson; they'll toss you an ANTIDOTE. Duck under the viaduct, and you'll be exiting to the Cornelia Region.
