They Cant Hide

Alright, so you've just finished up with the intro stuff and are ready to dive into the main story. Before we get going, take a sec to check out your skill tree. Spend those points on whatever looks cool to you! Also, poke around your apartment – there are some handy crafting items and a laptop with an Audio File: Aiden Pearce 05 and a System Key. Grab 'em, then hit the bed until 6:00 am to get a fresh start.

Once morning rolls around, head out and start exploring the city. Keep that Profiler handy; it's your best friend for finding all sorts of activities, from snagging people's bank info to finding collectibles. You're specifically looking for 'potential crimes' right now, so keep an eye out for those.

After the little chat you have, you'll get a waypoint, or you can just open your map and set one yourself. Head over to where the crime is about to go down.

You'll know you've found a potential crime when the Profiler highlights someone in yellow, marking them as either a potential victim or criminal. Now, here's the tricky part: you gotta wait for the crime to actually start before you jump in. If you intervene too early and get spotted, the criminals might just bail, and you'll miss out on those sweet Reputation Points for the side quests.

You want to wait until these conditions are met:

• The information bar for either person hits 96% or higher.
• That information bar turns red.
• The alert icon over the criminal's head turns into a yellow exclamation point, but *only* after it's already turned red.

Once the crime kicks off, you need to move fast! Rush in before the criminal can off the target – this bumps up your reward. And hey, if you can take the perp down non-lethally, like by tackling them with a melee attack, you'll get even more Reputation. So, try to run 'em down and go for the non-lethal takedown if you can.
