    Before Combat: Position all squad members within leadership range of a Leader and Support, ideally on elevated terrain for an accuracy bonus. Have all snipers crouch for a +10% hit chance bonus. Optionally, snipers can smoke cigarettes for a +10% critical chance bonus. If available, the Incendiary character should use Combat Stim from Chemtek Chest armor for an additional 2 AP and +15% hit chance. Initiate combat with the Scout performing a sneak attack on the strongest enemy, using a Risky Shot (a shot with a high chance to hit) if possible.

    1st Turn: The Support character calls Rally to grant remaining squad members an additional 2 AP (Action Points). Optionally, a Rocketer fires a missile into clustered enemies. If possible, a Gunslinger/Shotgunner performs shotgun attacks to destroy enemy cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) or eliminate multiple opponents. If available, the Incendiary uses the Overcharge perk for an additional 30% damage. All snipers execute a total of 7 to 8 sniping attacks. If possible, the Gunslinger/Shotgunner uses pistol/revolver attacks to finish off surviving enemies.

  • Early game combat often allows domination without rockets or Risky Shots.
  • Late game combat heavily relies on rocket launchers and Risky Shots when hit chances are high.
  • In the end game, Snipers using modded Black Stars can achieve 75-95% hit chance with Risky Shots, dealing 1200-2500 damage per hit, often eliminating most enemies in one shot even on higher difficulties.
  • Most encounters will conclude on the first turn, with some extending to a second turn rarely requiring all squad members to fire.
