Alright, let's talk about provinces in Dawn of War. Think of them as the territories on the campaign map you'll be fighting over. There are 25 in total, broken down into a few categories: seven are strongholds, six give you special bonuses, and the remaining twelve are just regular provinces. But don't worry too much about the type just yet – all provinces share some basic info that tells you how good they are and how tough they'll be to take.

When you look at a province, you'll see a few key stats:

• Strength: This is a number from 1 to 15 that basically tells you how fortified the province is. For enemy provinces, it's a heads-up on the kind of resistance you're going to face. If it's one of your own provinces, it shows how well it can defend itself, especially if you're using the auto-resolve feature. You can boost this defensive rating by parking troops there or by building more structures when you first capture it. Keep in mind, the strongest defenses are usually found in the strongholds.
• Requisition: This is a number between 50 and 100. It shows how much planetary requisition that province will give you each turn. Requisition is super important for building your army and structures, so higher numbers here are always better!
• Bonus: This is where things get interesting. For a normal province, the bonus might be an 'honour guard' unit that you can train using requisition. For those six special provinces, you'll get a unique bonus that can really help your campaign. Strongholds don't offer a bonus unit or special perk, but they always give you a full 100 planetary requisition, which is a huge deal.
• Army: If there's an enemy army hanging out in the province you're looking at, you'll see the units that make up their honour guard right away. If you want to see more detailed info about their army, you'll need to click the 'Recon' button.
