Secure Resource Gathering: Prioritize building 3-4 resource buildings before military structures. For Mordor and Isengard, prefer Slaughterhouses over Lumbermills to avoid resource depletion and enemy attraction. Build defensive structures to protect bases during exploration.

Explore the Map Early: Utilize higher-level units carried over from previous missions. Heroes can tank damage, allowing support units to finish off enemies. This helps secure map control and identify locations for additional buildings before opponents.

Supervise Mounted Units: Carefully guide mounted units like Gondor or Rohan horses to maintain their charge (stampede). This advantage is best for mounted swordsmen, not archers. Avoid charging mounted units into Mumakils, Trolls, or Wargs; use upgraded ranged units instead.

Ballistic vs. Ballistas: For the 'Good' side, prioritize destroying enemy ballistas. For the 'Evil' side, utilize ballistas extensively, protected by Pikemen, Archers, or Wargs. They are slow but powerful against structures.

Level Up and Upgrade Units: Higher unit levels mean increased damage and hit points. Units can heal themselves (Good) or be replaced (Evil). Avoid unit annihilation by retreating if necessary; even a few members can be reinforced. Heroes should aim to level up at least once per battle map.

Utilize Special Abilities and Spells: Heroes' abilities and purchased spells can turn the tide of battle. Examples include the Elven Wood/Forest spell for archer defense, the Eye of Sauron for faster experience gain, and various hero-specific abilities (Gandalf, Saruman, Aragorn, Gimli, Hobbits, Balrog).
