Demise (Final Battle)

Master the final battle against Demise in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. Learn strategies and tips to overcome the Demon King and save Hyrule.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Demise: The Demon King, final boss of Skyward Sword. Weak to the Master Sword.
• Attacks: Wide sword sweeps, lightning strikes, ground pounds, and a powerful grab.
• Weaknesses: Vulnerable after performing certain attacks, especially his leaping slam.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Sword Combat
   Demise primarily uses his sword, mirroring Link's own attacks. He has a powerful leaping slam that leaves him open for a few seconds.
2. Phase 2: Lightning and Ground Attacks
   Demise gains the ability to summon lightning and create shockwaves by slamming the ground. He can also perform a devastating grab attack.
3. Phase 3: The Imprisoned Form (briefly)
   After being defeated, Demise's spirit is sealed, but his true form, The Imprisoned, briefly appears before being fully vanquished.

Strategy:

• Dodge and Weave: Your primary defense is to constantly move and dodge Demise's wide sword swings and ground slams.
• Exploit Openings: After Demise performs his leaping slam, he will be stunned briefly. This is your chance to land several hits with the Master Sword.
• Counter Lightning: When Demise summons lightning, try to lure him into striking the ground near you, then quickly dodge. The lightning can also be used against him if timed correctly.
• Beware the Grab: Demise's grab attack is incredibly damaging. Keep your distance when he winds up for it.
• Master Sword Power: The Master Sword is your only effective weapon against Demise. Ensure it is fully charged and ready for attack.
• Use the Arena: The circular arena offers limited space. Use the edges to your advantage to avoid his attacks and position yourself for counter-attacks.
• Patience is Key: This is a long fight. Don't get greedy with your attacks. Focus on survival and landing hits when safe.
