Guide yourself through Part 5 of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, covering the Southern Ruins, Lake Hylia, and the Witch's hut.

Alright, let's dive into Part 5! First up, we're heading to Cucco Ranch. You'll find some trees and bushes blocking the way, so just blast through them. Once you're in, chat with Gulley, but don't worry, he's just going to hang out in the forest for now.

Next, we're off to the Southern Ruins. Head back to Link's House for a quick second, then make your way east and south. As you explore the Southern Ruins, be ready to fight! You'll run into Sand Crabs, Blobs, and Crows. Keep an eye out for them, and definitely grab any rupees you see – you'll need a good amount later.

Sand CrabDamage: 1/2 Heart
The green-shelled crabs move slow going north and south but have a burst of speed when moving east and west. Strike from above or below for best results.

Keep heading southwest until you reach a narrow path leading to a desert area. Watch out for a Buzz Blob as you make your way to the Great Fairy Fountain at the very end. These guys can be a pain with their electric shocks!

Buzz BlobDamage: 1 Heart
Buzz Blobs will emit an electric shock that deals more damage than necessary. Deal with this by using the Lamp or Net to put out the electric charge.

Now, from the Southern Ruins, let's head southeast to Lake Hylia. Here you'll encounter Octoroks, the classic water enemies. As you enter Lake Hylia, take a moment to go north and find a cave. Inside, light up the braziers to make a chest appear, which holds a nice Purple Rupee.

OctorokDamage: 1/2 Heart
This foe will shoot rocks at Link. Deflect them back using the shield for an easy win.

If you venture to the southern tip of the lake, you'll find a trail of rupees. Be careful though, one of them is actually a Rupee Like in disguise! You'll also spot a Lost Bottle nearby, but sadly, we can't quite reach it yet. So, for now, it's back to Link's House.

Rupee LikeDamage: 1/2 Heart
Rupee Likes cast shadows unlike an actual rupee so it's easy to tell them apart. Don't get caught by them though, they eat rupees! Defeat them from a distance if possible.

From Link's House, head east and cross the big stone bridge to the north. Follow the river all the way north until you can't go any further. Keep an eye out for water enemies, including the Zora!

ZoraDamage: 1/2 Heart
Normally you would deflect the Zora's fireballs but it will ruin your current shield so resort to dodging.

Once you hit that northern dead end, head east to find a small hut. Clear out any enemies inside and use the weather vane to save your game. Then, head inside to meet the Witch. You can buy a Red Potion here, but honestly, the Milk is cheaper and does the same job for now, especially since you don't have many Heart Containers yet. If you ever need a free heal, just stop by and say hello!

Before we can even think about entering the Eastern Palace, we need a bow. Follow the river east again, crossing that stone bridge to reach the Eastern Ruins. As you get closer to the Eastern Palace entrance, you'll see two rocks with bow symbols. Check the colored signs nearby – Ravio was thinking ahead! Head back to Link's House and tell Ravio you saw the bow symbol. Thanks to your sharp eyes, Ravio will reward you with the Rented Bow!

As you leave Ravio's shop, notice the Energy Gauge on your screen. It's showing you how much power you have left for your items.
