    After exiting the initial safe house, use the door to the left to find FILE 4/40 on a table.

    Exit the house to automatically acquire the SEMI-AUTOMATIC HANDGUN and FILE 5/40 (the last collectible for this chapter). You will also trigger a cutscene and earn the "Welcome to Union" Bronze Trophy for "Taking the plunge back into STEM".

    Explore the immediate area outside. To the right, past a mailbox, find an HERB.

    Continue up the road. You can break the windows of a car to release insects.

    Proceed towards the house on the left. A cutscene will play showing a woman running inside.

    After regaining control inside the house, quickly shoot the approaching monster. Aim for the head (2-3 shots). Grab the item it drops.

    Check the corpse in the kitchen.

    Go upstairs and find GUNPOWDER on the right side of the door.

    Exit the house and turn right on the deck to find another HERB.

    Continue down the road. A knife tutorial (R2) will trigger near a trunk. Break nearby boxes for random items.

    A sneaking tutorial will begin. Head left of the vehicle to find a BOTTLE (which can be used for diversions).

    Go up the hill on the left, into the grass, to find another HERB.

    Head towards the house on the left, avoiding the enemies on the right.

    At the FENCE, look left along it to find another HERB behind dumpsters. Find a BOTTLE on the dumpsters.

    Sneak forward and kill the enemy by the car, then the enemy by the door.

    You can find GUNPOWDER from the white SUV in the parking lot without making too much noise.

    Enter the house through the door (mash "X" to open, which will attract enemies).

    Inside, enter the bathroom and open the med kit cabinet to get the SYRINGE (save this item).

    Continue through the house to the stairs, where a cutscene will take over, leading to "O'Neals Safe House".

    Talk to Liam in the safe house. Discuss all dialogue options.

    A new chapter, "Chapter 3: Resonances", begins.

    Talk to Liam again about everything. He will mention a "powerful signal" and a weapons cache.

    MISSION START: ROGUE SIGNAL is initiated.

    Explore the safe house. A SAVE POINT is to the left of Liam.

    Approach the COFFEE POT to the right of Liam for the "Coffee Makers Tutorial". Drinking coffee restores full health, saving your syringes.
