Faldorn in Sword of the Sea has lower Hit Points and Strength than Jaheira, with a negligible Armor Class bonus. Recruit her at level three.

Faldorn has significantly lower Hit Points and Strength than Jaheira. Her small bonus to Armor Class is insufficient compensation, especially since Jaheira can equip superior armor, allowing her to survive longer in melee combat. Furthermore, Jaheira receives more points for proficiencies and boasts a better THAC0 (To Hit Armor Class 0). Faldorn's primary advantage over Jaheira is a one-point Armor Class lead, which is rendered negligible by Jaheira's better armor. While Faldorn can cast a few more spells, Jaheira offers the benefit of being a competent Fighter alongside her Druid abilities.

The earliest you can recruit Faldorn is at level three. By this point, she has already lost a third of her potential Hit Points for that level. At 5th level, she only has 22 out of a possible 40 Hit Points. She is presented as a version of one of the game's weaker classes, consistently hampered by low Hit Points.
