Alright, let's talk about Yeslick, a Cleric companion you can recruit in Sword of the Sea. He's a Fighter/Cleric multiclass, which is pretty neat because it means he gets better at fighting – think higher THAC0 (that's your chance to hit) and more Hit Points – while still keeping all those awesome Cleric spells for healing and buffs. He can even specialize in weapons, making him a solid option in melee combat.

Now, he's not exactly a powerhouse in terms of Strength, but honestly, for a Cleric in this game, he's about as good as you can expect. His Dexterity might be a bit low, but you can always pop on some Gauntlets of Dexterity to help him out. Plus, with his decent Hit Points, he can take a beating.

Here's the catch, though: you don't actually get to meet Yeslick until you're pretty much done with the Cloakwood Mines. That's a pretty late-game pickup! Honestly, even if he were available earlier, I'd probably still lean towards Jaheira. She fills a similar role and, being a character from the sequel, has a bit more going for her, even if Yeslick's spell selection is slightly more impressive.

He's definitely an interesting alternative to Branwen, but if I'm being real, I often bend my own party rules to bring Viconia along, even in a good-aligned party. I'd take either Jaheira or Viconia over Yeslick any day of the week. That said, Yeslick is one of those rare characters whose Hit Points remain reliably high, no matter what level you manage to recruit him at. So, while he might not be my top pick, he's got his strengths!
