The Dagger of Venom is the best and most expensive weapon sold in Sword of the Sea. It is one of the few weapons that will allow Jaheira to become an effective melee fighter, as she lacks the Dexterity to manage without a shield, even with a good Quarter Staff available later. An alternative is the Scimitar +2, found on top of Durlag's Tower. Despite its high price, the Dagger of Venom is easier to obtain and more effective than other weapons in the game. It deals 1d4+2 damage, with a chance to inflict an additional 15 damage via poison.
