Beyond the essential crafting materials and survival gear, Stranded Deep features several unique collectibles that can enhance your gameplay, unlock achievements, or simply provide a sense of accomplishment. This section details how to find and use these elusive items.

Shipwreck Containers

Shipwrecks are your primary source for many valuable and rare items. These submerged derelicts often contain sealed containers that require specific tools or strategies to access.

• Location: Shipwrecks are randomly generated across your game world. They can be found in shallow reefs or deep ocean trenches. Use your Gyrocopter or a well-equipped raft with a compass to systematically explore the map.
• Types of Containers:
  • Cargo Containers: Large, rectangular containers often found partially submerged or on the seabed. They typically require a Prybar to open, yielding several loot including advanced tools, crafting components, and sometimes even rare food items.
  • Storage Lockers: Smaller, often rusted lockers found within the interior of larger shipwrecks. These can sometimes be opened by interacting with them, but many require a Wrench to force open, revealing items like Duct Tape, Electrical Parts, or even Refined Axes.
  • Medical Kits: Small, red or white boxes often found in crew quarters or medical bays of larger ships. These usually contain Bandages, Antidotes, and occasionally Painkillers. They can be opened without tools.
• Strategy:
  1. Preparation: Before diving, ensure you have sufficient Oxygen Tanks (at least 2-3 for deeper wrecks), a Prybar, and a Wrench. A Flippers and Speargun are also highly recommended for speed and defense against aggressive marine life.
  2. Reconnaissance: Circle the shipwreck from the surface to identify potential entry points and assess the depth. Note any visible sharks or other threats.
  3. Systematic Search: Start from the most accessible parts of the wreck and work your way deeper. Prioritize containers that are easily visible. Be mindful of your oxygen supply and ascend regularly to avoid drowning.
  4. Loot Management: Shipwreck containers can hold a lot of items. Bring a Storage Container or a large Raft nearby to offload loot efficiently.

Rare Tools & Equipment

Certain tools and equipment are not craftable and can only be found as collectibles, significantly impacting your survival capabilities.

• Gyrocopter Parts: The ultimate end-game collectible. Assembling the Gyrocopter requires finding four distinct parts:
  • Gyrocopter Body: Often found in large, deep shipwrecks or occasionally on larger islands.
  • Gyrocopter Engine: Similar to the body, look in significant wreck sites.
  • Gyrocopter Tail: Can be found in various shipwrecks, sometimes in shallower ones.
  • Gyrocopter Propeller: The smallest part, often found in smaller wreck containers or even washed ashore on rare occasions.

  Strategy: There's no fixed location for these. Your best bet is to systematically explore every shipwreck you encounter. Prioritize deeper, larger wrecks as they tend to have higher-tier loot. Once all parts are collected, you can craft the Gyrocopter at a Crafting Station (Level 3).

• Compass: Invaluable for navigation, especially when exploring new islands or returning to your base.
  • Location: Primarily found in shipwreck containers (Cargo Containers or Storage Lockers). Very rarely, they can wash ashore on islands.
  • Strategy: Prioritize opening every container you find in shipwrecks. The Compass is a common enough find that you should acquire one within your first few shipwreck explorations.
• Binoculars: Allows you to scout distant islands and identify resources or threats without having to travel there.
  • Location: Similar to the Compass, Binoculars are typically found in shipwreck containers.
  • Strategy: Keep an eye out for them in any container. They are less common than the Compass but still a relatively frequent find in wrecks.

Unique Crafting Schematics

While most crafting recipes are learned through leveling up your crafting skill, some advanced schematics are found as physical items, unlocking powerful new crafting options.

• Advanced Water Still Schematic: Allows you to build a more efficient water still that produces more water per day.
  • Location: Often found in larger, deeper shipwrecks, particularly in the captain's quarters or bridge areas.
  • Strategy: Focus your deep-sea explorations on the more intact and complex shipwrecks. These schematics are usually found on tables, shelves, or inside lockers within these wrecks.
• Engine Parts Schematic: Unlocks the ability to craft certain engine components, reducing your reliance on finding them.
  • Location: Similar to the Advanced Water Still, these are high-tier finds in significant shipwrecks.
  • Strategy: Dive deep and explore thoroughly. These schematics are crucial for long-term self-sufficiency and are worth the risk.
