Let's break down how to set yourself up for success, whether you're going for pure speed or a boost-heavy approach.

Speed Character Setup:

For these races, you want to be a speed demon. Max out your speed stats and look for gear that boosts it even further. The goal here is raw velocity.

• Character: Elise, Alex, or Tane are your go-to picks. They give you a sweet +10 or +15 Speed bonus, which is huge.
• Suit: Grab a suit with a 'Boost Bonus' or 'Longer TRICKY Time'. Since speed boards don't always have the best boost, you'll want to make the most of what you get, and staying in TRICKY mode means more infinite boost.
• Board: You absolutely need the Legendary Speed board. It gives you a massive speed increase, often hitting 100% speed without even needing a mod slot for it.
• Equipment: This is up to your preference, but aim for Epic or Legendary quality to keep your stats high.
• Mods: The 'Rocket mod' is a must-have in Slot 1. For Slot 2, you've got options: 'Trick Boost' for more boost from tricks, 'More Tricky Time' to extend your boost window, or something to enhance your equipment like a wingsuit mod.

Boost Character Setup:

If pure speed isn't your style, or you prefer to rely on getting into TRICKY mode and staying there, this setup is for you. It's all about building and maintaining that boost.

• Character: Psymon or Moby are excellent choices here, offering +15 and +10 boost increases respectively.
• Suit: Look for suits that give you 'Longer TRICKY Time' and 'Trick Bonus'. Sadly, there aren't many suits that directly boost speed, so we focus on maximizing your trick-based boost gain.
• Board: The Legendary Rocket board is the way to go. Just like with the speed board, it's designed to complement this playstyle.
• Equipment: Again, pick what suits you or what the event calls for. Sometimes a headlamp in broad daylight can be a funny troll, but usually, you'll want something practical.
• Mods: In Slot 1, 'Longer TRICKY Time' is key. Slot 2 can be used for a 'Speed Mod' to help out a bit, or another 'Trick Mod' to keep that boost meter filling up.
