Chapter 17: Man Against Daemon
Objective: Destroy Nemeroth
You cannot directly harm Nemeroth initially. The first wave consists of demons. Use thunder smashing if you have the hammer, or the vengeance launcher with ground detonation for splash damage against groups.
The area provides cover from a large crate to the right and several small crates to the left.
The second wave includes Guardsmen and shooting Marines. Use cover and target them strategically. If using the hammer, approach Nemeroth's field, pound them as they emerge, and switch to cover when shields are low. Avoid the open middle space; move from cover to cover. After dealing with these enemies, use the third combo, thunder smash, on the Marines, followed by more combos, and execute them before returning to cover.
Following this, summoners will appear on either side of Nemeroth, accompanied by many demons. Stay behind cover and use thunder smash. Once the demons are defeated, shoot the summoners from a distance.
Next, two Chaos Ultramarines and a horde of demons will appear. Utilize fury and thunder smash together for a quick elimination. This leads to a cinematic where the Captain throws himself and Nemeroth off the tower.
