    Escape the cage. Pick up the katana and the revolver from a dead guard.

    Fight off the initial wave of Crawlers outside.

    Enter the burning building. The floor will collapse, leading you to the first floor.

    Find Hoji and a dead Mizayaki. Hoji grants you a healing ability and agrees to help you retrieve the stolen sword.

    Head to Wang's car and pursue the Whisperer who took the sword.

Secrets:

  • Secret 1: After exiting your car, head right towards the building. Across the koi ponds, find a break in the bamboo. Follow the stream down to a drop-off to find a Money Statue.
  • Secret 2: In the same koi pond, walk into the small waterfall to enter a retro area and find a Money Statue.
  • Secret 3: After the second fight in the Prologue (if not obtained there), find a Money Statue inside a glass cage in front of an arcade machine.
  • Secret 4: After leaving the house, head into the bamboo forest. Turn right and look for an opening to the forest on your left. Enter the cave for a Crawler and a Money Statue.
  • Secret 5: After leaving the burning building, head to the building in front of you. Shoot a barrel through the right window to open a door inside, revealing a Money Statue.
  • Secret 6: After leaving the burning building, head towards the statue. Go to the waterfall on the left. Behind it is a cave containing a secret (Money Statue).
  • Secret 7: In the bamboo forest, take the opening on your right. Follow the path for a secret (Money Statue).
  • Secret 8: In the bamboo forest, behind the Tentoki statue, find a secret (Blood Pool).
  • Secret 9: In the bamboo forest, behind the Tentoki statue, find another secret (Blood Pool).
  • Note: Secrets 1 and 2 can be obtained here if missed in the prologue.

  • The first Demon Rabbit and Crawlers appear in this chapter.
