    Begin by reaching a long, narrow platform. Run to the right, jumping down and over a red frog enemy. You can bomb it, but it only has 2 HP.

    Head right to a tree. Jump to its side and run up the wall, following the bumps until you are to the right of a worm. Skip the worm and jump to the brown platform on the right to find a health upgrade for the Mouse.

    Pick up the health upgrade, then head back left, jumping and clinging to the wall above the worm. Run up this wall and along the ceiling, avoiding spikes, and drop onto the top platform.

    Head right to a split in the path. Choose the lower platform, which is easier. Jump to it, pick up the large heart, then cling to the ceiling of the platform above.

    Run right on the ceiling, above spikes. A pink spiked enemy will appear; place a bomb and retreat to defeat it. Proceed forward, defeat another pink spiked creature, and then jump onto solid ground.

    Climb the wall on the right and bomb one more pink spike-ball.

    Drop to the ground and enter the small alcove on the left. Run along the ceiling to avoid spikes and collect a potion. Exit the alcove.

    Head right on flat ground, jumping over a red frog enemy, and exit the stage.

Phases:

  1. The Dragon flies back and forth, landing periodically.
  2. When attacking, the Dragon shoots a fireball straight ahead.

  4. When landing in a new color, the Dragon launches three large fireballs in an arc.

  • Wait for the Dragon to land, then hit it with a rock while jumping over its fireballs.
  • The Dragon only attacks when you do, so a pattern of hit, jump, and hit again is effective.
