Alright, let's talk about how to not blow yourself up in a car chase in Saints Row (2022). You've got a blue health bar for your ride sitting above your own red health bar on the bottom right. If that blue bar hits zero, your car goes boom, and trust me, you don't want to be inside when that happens. It's a classic Saints Row thing, so just know it's coming.

If your ride is about to become a fireball and it's not some super important mission vehicle, you can bail out. Just hit the same button you use to get into cars (it's usually / or X/A). This is super important if you see that blue bar getting low.

Firing Guns While Driving and Riding

Hanging out on the roof gives you a great view but makes you a bigger target. Enemies will focus on you, meaning your car takes less damage, but you'll take more. How to Ram

Guns aren't always the best way to go when you're driving. Remember, you're piloting a couple tons of metal at high speed – it's a weapon in itself! In Saints Row (2022), ramming is a proper mechanic now, not just a side effect.

To ram, keep accelerating (hold /) and then hit / while pushing the towards your target. This does massive damage. A couple of good sideswipes can wreck enemy vehicles, especially if you've got the Shiny & Chrome Perk. Just remember, not all cars are built for ramming – smaller, lighter ones will be less effective. You also need to be moving fast and keep accelerating for the ram to do real damage. It can be tricky to pull off, and you might lose control of your own car, so be careful when ramming near bridges or cliffs.

Even with the risks, ramming is super effective. It often does little to no damage to your own car, saves ammo, and is way easier than trying to aim and shoot while driving. Plus, you can take out enemies without slowing down much. Usually, two to four good sideswipes will get you out of a chase. So yeah, mastering ramming is a really good idea.
