You're back in the Officer's Mess Hall of the present-day Obra Dinn. You can now access the First Mate's Cabin and the stairway below the Main Deck. It's recommended to explore the lower path first to better identify individuals in the cabin later.
From Bosun Klestil's hologram, turn 360 degrees and head fore out of the Mess Hall, staying along the port side wall past the First Mate's Cabin. Go behind the aft stairway and descend to the Orlop Deck.
To your right is the Surgery Room. Inside, you'll find medical books, the surgeon's bed, a desk, and a medicine cabinet containing various medical supplies. This room is important for future identifications.
Exit the Surgery Room, go port to the adjacent door, and enter the Purser's Office. This room contains books and scrolls related to cargo and trade transactions, crucial for identification.
After exploring the office, proceed to the far-aft side of the deck (the steering tiller). Turn left and descend into the Starboard Walk. Continue fore past the crew's beds to reach the Carpenter's Shop, filled with carpentry tools. This location will be important later.
Open the door fore-and-port of you, turn around the fore side, and head towards the door on your right. This leads to the Gunner's Store, which houses various weapons like sabers, rapiers, swords, rifles, shotguns, grenades, and gunpowder. A hatchway for ammunition is also present. Familiarize yourself with this area as it's important.
Exit the Gunner's Store, turn right, and go aft to a pen with a cow skull hanging on the starboard wall. Notice a smashed section of the pen fence. Turn left and go starboard through the smashed fence to find the skull. The Memento Mortem allows you to view the memories of dead animals.
Approach the skull to activate the pocketwatch (using the spacebar) and begin a new chapter.
