How to Defeat Saddler in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Learn how to defeat Osmund Saddler, the final boss in Resident Evil 4 (Remake). This guide covers his attacks, weak points, and strategies for both phases.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weak Points: Eyeballs all over his body. In Phase 2, a large central eyeball.
• Vulnerable to: High-damage weapons like Magnums.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Saddler has multiple eyeballs on his body. Shoot these to stun him and perform knife finishers on his main eye. He will summon Novistadors and use attacks like Claw Swipe, Leap, Scream, and Acid Spew. Exploding nearby canisters can stun him.
2. Phase 2: Saddler becomes larger with a prominent central eyeball. Focus all your strongest weapon fire on this eye. Ada will eventually drop a Rocket Launcher, which you must use to finish him.

Strategy:

• Preparation: Before the fight, upgrade your strongest weapons (especially a Magnum and Handgun like the Red9), repair Body Armor, and stock up on healing items and ammo at the last Merchant. Bring a strong Handgun, Shotgun, Stingray, Magnum, and an automatic weapon for Novistadors.
• Phase 1 Execution: Target Saddler's eyeballs. Use the environment by luring him near explosive canisters for stuns. Evade his Claw Swipe and Leap attacks using the on-screen prompts. Keep moving to avoid his Acid Spew. Ignore the summoned Novistadors unless they are directly attacking you, as they drop resources. After stunning him by shooting his eyeballs, approach for a knife finisher. Repeat until he mutates.
• Phase 2 Execution: Equip your most powerful weapons, ideally a fully upgraded Magnum, and unload directly into Saddler's large central eyeball. His only attack is a swipe, which is easily evaded. Once enough damage is dealt, Ada will provide a Rocket Launcher. Equip it immediately and fire at the large eye to defeat Saddler and end the battle.
• Resource Management: Break crates and collect herbs found in the arena for additional resources during the fight.
