Investigate the Lab in Resident Evil 2 (Remake) as Leon. Get level 2 clearance, find the Regulator, and solve the Greenhouse code.
Walkthrough
- 1After the cable car stops, go down the stairs and use your ID Wristband to pass through the triple doors, unlocking the Great Need for a Shower trophy.
- 2Enter the Security Room to the left, pick up Shotgun Shells x4, and the Research Lab North Area Map.
- 3Examine the computer at the main desk in the reception area to find the Nap Room Log file (31/58).
- 4Go into the break room, save your game if desired, and examine the board for the ID Wristbands file (32/58).
- 5Go through the door previously ignored, into the Canteen. Defeat the visible zombie, pick up the Hand Grenade, Handgun Ammo x15 from the tables, and the Mr. Raccoon figure (10/15) in the northwest corner to unlock the Endangered Species record.
- 6Defeat the zombie on the floor, pick up Fuel x200 from the counter, and proceed to the back. Avoid the zombie that gets up by climbing the ladder.
- 7Follow the passage in the roofspace and drop into the kitchen. Pick up Large Gunpowder and the Combat Knife.
- 8Carefully open the door to the kitchen; a zombie in full body armour is outside. Remain in the doorway and let it approach, then backpedal and aim for a headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill).
- 9Go west to the Nap Room. Pick up Shotgun Shells x3 from the table.
- 10Search the left locker to find the Regulator (Flamethrower) accessory and combine it with your flamethrower, unlocking the Packed Pockets record.
- 11Grab the Electronic Chip from the bunk's arm and combine it with your ID Wristband for level 2 clearance.
- 12Return to the reception area and use the item box to manage your inventory.
- 13Go through the southern door, now accessible with level 2 clearance. Examine the dead soldier for the Special Forces Recording file (33/58) and update your goals via the info screens.
- 14Use the console to extend a bridge to the Main Shaft. Cross it and find the level 2 console to extend a bridge to the East Lab Area.
- 15Cross the new bridge to the East Lab lobby. Pick up the Green Herb from the counter, Gunpowder from the desk, and save your game.
- 16Arm yourself with the flamethrower and go through the eastern door to the Presentation Room.
- 17Leave via the northwest entrance and look up to see an Ivy. Use controlled bursts of flame (approx. 60-70 units of fuel) until it falls, then continue burning it until it bursts into flames.
- 18Pick up High Grade Gunpowder from a console table and defeat another Ivy.
- 19Continue into the Control Room. Pick up the Flash Grenade and examine the console to your right.
- 20Examine the machine near the window to receive an empty Dispersal Cartridge.
- 21Enter the Greenhouse and turn left. Pick up the Red Herb and follow the path to a locked hatch. Note the symbols on the hatch.
- 22Return to the Greenhouse Control Room and use the console, entering the code 3123.
- 23Return to the Greenhouse and go down the opened hatch. In the western corner, find Large Gunpowder and the Research Lab Area East Map.
- 24Go through the door in the opposite corner, ignoring the left corridor, and enter a Lounge area.
- 25Pick up Shotgun Shells x4 from the sofa arm. Defeat the three playing-dead zombies on the left; kneecap the nearest and furthest, then use a Hand Grenade when they are close to the third to potentially unlock the Zombie Roundup trophy.
- 26Pick up the Green Herb and the Trophy from the table. Examine the Trophy in your inventory for symbols needed to unlock another area.
