Walkthrough
  1. 1
Welcome to the City of the Dead: Make it to the police station. Automatically awarded as part of the story.
  2. 2
Path to the Goddess: Solve the Goddess Statue puzzle. .
  3. 3
Never-Ending Rain: Escape the Police Station. .
  4. 4
Hack Complete: Complete Ada's segment. .
  5. 5
Hide and Seek: Complete Sherry's segment. .
  6. 6
A Great Need for a Shower: Escape from the sewers. .
  7. 7
    Survival: Complete either character's A scenario. .
  8. 8
    A Hero Emerges: Complete Leon's story. .
  9. 9
    A Heroine Emerges: Complete Claire's story. .
  10. 10
Broken Umbrella: Witness the true ending. This requires you to complete either B scenario.
  11. 11
The Basics of Survival: Combine any two items together. Herbs or gunpowder will do the trick. You can't really miss this.
  12. 12
Hip to Add Squares: Increase your inventory slots. You'll find your first expansion in the West Storage Room. Again, pretty much unmissable.
  13. 13
Customizer: Customise a weapon. You'll find an upgrade for your basic pistol in the West Office.
  14. 14
Don't Need No Stinkin' Gun: Kill an enemy with the Combat Knife. This is actually the recommended way to kill zombies: kneecap them and stab them from behind while they're crawling on the floor.
  15. 15
Eat This: Counterattack with a secondary weapon. Every time you're grabbed from the front (which is often) and you have a secondary weapon equipped, you'll get an L1 prompt to counterattack with it. Do so.
  16. 16
That'll Hold 'Em: Use Wooden Boards to board up a window. Again, pretty much unmissable.
  17. 17
Vermin Extermination: Shoot a Mr. Raccoon figure.
  18. 18
A Vault-like Mind: Open a Portable Safe. There are two in each scenario.
  19. 19
First Break-In: Open a dial safe. You should get this when you unlock the safe in the West Office. You will find the combination in the S.T.A.R.S. Office.
  20. 20
Trusty Ally: Kill 10 enemies with the handgun.
  21. 21
Close Range: Kill 10 enemies with the shotgun.
  22. 22
You Die...Over There: Kill 5 enemies with the grenade launcher.
  23. 23
Trigger Happy: Kill 10 enemies with the submachine gun.
  24. 24
Human Power Plant: Kill 5 enemies with the Spark Shot.
  25. 25
Bring Marshmallows!: Kill 5 enemies with the Chemical Flamethrower.
  26. 26
Got a Problem Punk?: Kill 5 enemies with magnum shots. Both Leon's Lightning Eagle and Claire's upgraded SLS 60 contribute to this.
  27. 27
Master Tactician: Kill 10 enemies with a secondary weapon. If you're knifing crippled zombies you should unlock this no problem.
  28. 28
Two Birds, One Stone: Kill two enemies with a single shot.
  29. 29
A Shocking End: Shoot an enemy with the Spark Shot and hold down L2 until you achieve maximum charge.
  30. 30
Bon Appétit: Shoot the grenade you fed to an enemy. This requires you to counterattack with a Flash Grenade or Hand Grenade and a little practice. You will have a couple of seconds to get a shot off after your counterattack.
  31. 31
Zombie Roundup: Kill three enemies with one Hand Grenade. The best opportunity is near the beginning of either B scenario. You'll pick up a grenade in the first room and you'll have to fight your way through at least three zombies who bunch up. Reload if you don't get it. Note that the associated record is called "Fish in a Barrel".
  32. 32
But a Torso: Destroy the arms and legs of a zombie. Claire's Acid Rounds are quite good at destroying limbs. Or use lots and lots of bullets.
  33. 33
A Doff of the Cap: Shoot the hat off 5 zombies' heads. A number of former police officers will be wearing hats. Shoot them in the head instead of the legs.
  34. 34
Like Skeet Shooting: Shoot a zombie dog or Licker out of the air. This is a matter of luck more than anything. Dogs are a _lot_ less dangerous and have a habit of jumping over things or towards you. Since you're likely to be shooting wildly at them when they do this, your chances of a lucky shot are fairly decent.
  35. 35
Keep Their Heads Ringin': Use a Flash Grenade to deafen a Licker. If you're planning on killing one, you'll want to open with one of these anyway. Counterattacking with a Flash Grenade will also work.
  36. 36
Hats Off!: Shoot Mr. X's hat. You can do this when you first encounter him. Then reload your autosave because it makes him hunt you more aggressively.
  37. 37
Suspend: Do enough damage to get Mr. X down on one knee. Then reload a save because you've probably wasted a bunch of magnum rounds.
  38. 38
Hate to Burst Your Bulb: Immobilise an Ivy by shooting only its bulbs. There are yellow protuberances on an Ivy's body. Shooting them is one way to disable one (but not kill it). If you manage to do this without hitting any other part of its body, you'll unlock this. A red-dot weapon like Claire's JMB Hp3 can help.
  39. 39
Right in the Eyeball: When fighting G-1, arm yourself with a Combat Knife. When / if G-1 grabs you, counterattack and you'll stab him in the giant eye in his shoulder.
  40. 40
Gotcha!: When fighting G-2, defeat him by hitting him with the crane only once. This is easiest when playing on Assisted difficulty.
  41. 41
Put That Down!: When fighting G-3, shoot him in an eye with a high damage weapon when he picks something up to get him to drop it.
  42. 42
You Belong on the Ground: Shoot G-4 (Claire's final boss) off the wall when he tries climbing up.
  43. 43
    Maxed Out: When f
