2) Find Rebecca in the West Save Room First?

This section details an alternative to the standard encounter with Rebecca, specifically focusing on meeting her in the West Save Room on the first floor, where the Serum is located.

Choices and Consequences:

If you say YES to Rebecca's question:

• If you do NOT get poisoned by Yawn, Rebecca will be safe for the rest of the game and will help make the V-Jolt to save you from Plant 42 in the Guardhouse.
• If you get poisoned by Yawn, you will take control of Rebecca. If you get the Serum to Chris quickly enough, Rebecca will be safe and will make the V-Jolt for Chris to beat Plant 42.
• If you take too long to get the Serum for Chris (Chris will die if you take too long), Rebecca will not appear in the Guardhouse, and Chris must fight Plant 42 alone. Upon returning to the mansion after killing your first Hunter, you will hear a scream from Rebecca upstairs. Rush to the mini-library on the second floor (the room with the Botany Book) as fast as you can.

If you say NO to Rebecca's question:

• By saying No, Rebecca remains in her current room.
• If you get poisoned by Yawn, Rebecca will take Chris to the Save Room with the Serum and treat him instead of you controlling her to get the Serum.
• Rebecca will not appear in the Guardhouse and will not make the V-Jolt for fighting Plant 42.
• Upon returning to the mansion after killing your first Hunter, Chris will say "What are they? Monsters? Rebecca! Is she still in the house?" Get to the Serum Save Room as fast as you can. See part 3, "Rebecca is attacked by a Hunter," for what happens next.
