Alright, let's break down the main characters you'll be playing as and some other key players in Resident Evil 0. Knowing who's who and what they're good at can really help you out!

Billy Coen

Billy's a 26-year-old ex-Marine who was on his way to his execution when the transport van crashed. He ended up escaping and meeting up with Rebecca. He's one of the two characters you'll control throughout the game.

• Pros: He's got great stamina and is generally stronger than Rebecca. This means he's the one you'll want to rely on for certain puzzles. Plus, his handgun headshot rate is higher, making him a better shot.
• Cons: He can't mix herbs, which is a pretty big deal for healing.

Rebecca Chambers

Rebecca is an 18-year-old rookie with the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team. She's super smart, graduating early, and her specialty is medicine – she's the only medic on the S.T.A.R.S. team. She's the other character you'll be controlling.

• Pros: She's the only one who can mix herbs, so keep her alive and well-stocked!
• Cons: Her stamina isn't as good as Billy's.

Albert Wesker

At 38, Wesker is the leader of the S.T.A.R.S. team. He's also known as the traitor, as he led the Bravo team into the forest knowing full well the dangers lurking there, showing no concern for their safety.

William Birkin

This 36-year-old is a brilliant scientist, considered one of Umbrella's top minds, and he's pretty ruthless. You'll know him better if you've played Resident Evil 2, but he's a significant figure.
