Learn how to defeat the Tyrant boss in Resident Evil 0's Lobby Area with two easy methods. Grab the elevator key, use your magnum, and get the grenade launcher!

Alright, so you've made your way to the Lobby area, and it looks like we've got a bit of a surprise waiting for us. First things first, head to the left. You'll trigger a cutscene with Enrico. After that, keep an eye out for the elevator key. It's usually near the lift you're standing by. Grab it, and then use it on the slot right next to the elevator doors. Now, it's time to get ready for a boss fight. Load up your magnum – you're going to need it!

Boss: Tyrant

Stats / Weaknesses:

• The Tyrant is vulnerable to shotgun shells and the knife.
• It takes no damage when crouched.
• Do not attack its face, as it will damage you.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Initial Attack - The Tyrant will crouch and charge at you.
2. Phase 2: Damage Application - Attack its body or use the knife after dodging.
3. Phase 3: Recovery - Wait for the Tyrant to stand up after being hit by a powerful weapon before attacking again.

Strategy:

• Method 1: Direct Assault
  When the Tyrant crouches to attack, quickly run to its side (past its shorter arm) and unload your shotgun shells. Alternatively, if you're feeling brave, you can use the knife. Wait for it to charge, dodge its attack, and then get in a quick stab. Remember, don't try to hit it in the face! After taking enough damage, it will eventually fall.
• Method 2: Merry-Go-Round Trick
  This is a super effective and safe method. Start by hitting it once with the shotgun. Then, run around it. Wait for it to turn towards you, then run around again. You can get close to attack with your shotgun or knife. The key is to keep moving around its weaker hand to avoid getting hit if your timing is a little off. This method is great because the Tyrant struggles to keep up and turn around. Just like before, remember to pause your attacks if it crouches, as it won't take damage and you'll be left vulnerable.

Once the Tyrant is defeated, grab the grenade launcher it drops. Then, head back to the elevator and ride it up to level 4. You're not done yet, but you've cleared this area!
