Learn how to breed Pals in Palworld. This guide covers crafting the Breeding Farm, making Cake, and incubating eggs for new Pals.
Walkthrough
- 1Unlock and Craft the Breeding Farm: Reach level 19 to unlock the Breeding Farm technology. Craft it using 100 Stone, 50 Wood, and 50 Fiber. Place it on a flat surface.
- 2Place Pals in the Farm: Open the Pal management menu, select a male and female Pal from your base, lift them, and throw them into the Breeding Farm. The farm should display "1/1" for both male and female.
- 3Craft Cake: Pals require Cake during the breeding process. One Cake is needed per egg. To craft a Cake, you need 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs, and 2 Honey.
- 4Flour: Grow Wheat Plantation, harvest Wheat, and mill it into Flour. Wheat Seeds drop from Dinossoms, Cinnamoths, Robinquills, Bristlas, and others.
- 5Milk: Obtain from cow-like Pals such as Mozzarinas.
- 6Honey: Gather from Elizabee and Beegarde Pals found in the Snowy Mountain Fork area.
- 7Purchase Ingredients: Wheat Seeds, Berry Seeds, Milk, and Eggs can be bought from the merchant in the small settlement southwest of the Tower of the Rayne Syndicate.
- 8Cooking: Select Cake in the Cooking Pot and assign a Pal with a high kindling stat to cook it quickly.
- 9Incubate the Egg: Once an egg is laid, unlock the Egg Incubator at level 7 under Ancient Technology. Place the egg in the incubator and wait for it to hatch (can take hours).
- 10Adjust Incubator Conditions: If the incubator indicates a temperature issue (e.g., "seems a little hot"), place a cooler or heater nearby to adjust the temperature and speed up hatching.
Tips
- The Breeding Farm is a significant material investment early on; consider crafting it later if materials are scarce.
- Ensure the Breeding Farm is placed on a flat surface to prevent the cake box from being hidden.
- AI pathfinding can be buggy, causing Pals to run out of the farm; this is usually temporary.
- Use a Pal with the highest kindling stat for cooking Cake to speed up the process significantly.
- The Egg Incubator requires specific temperature adjustments; pay attention to the incubator's messages to determine if a heater or cooler is needed.
