Main mission: Bird in a cage

Outer Fortress: Start by using the shrine. Enter the cave, defeat the two Dwellers, and note the stinky liquid. Continue to a fork; enter the cave to avoid an ambush. Defeat the Spider Yokai inside and note the smaller versions in wall eggs. Exit the cave into an area with enemies; shoot them in the head from a blind spot, then jump left to find the first Kodama.

Locate the source of missile-like objects on a hill with a Big Dweller. Nearby, enter a cave guarded by an enemy. Defeat the Tesso inside and find the second Kodama behind boxes near the entrance. Continue to find a gate leading back to the initial shrine area.

Explore the buildings. Find a Sudama behind a house near a watchtower. Head towards the gate opposite the earlier cave. Fight a soldier and a Yoki throwing an explosive barrel.

Before the next gate, find the third Kodama on the left. Past the gate, proceed to a nearby cave, avoiding missiles. Inside, fight spiders and Tessos. Collect loot from corpses, including a locked item. Find a ladder in a house behind where enemies were firing missiles; the fourth Kodama is here.

Eliminate remaining enemies, including a Yoki near explosive barrels and a Dweller and skeleton soldier. Destroy the watchtower.

In the fortress's middle area, find a path to a Dark Realm behind a building near the first cave entrance. Defeat the skeleton soldier and Waira within to dispel the Dark Realm and get a chest.

Advance through the gate to the next area, where a shrine is located.

Inner Fortress: Enter a Dark Realm with constant missile bombardment. Hide behind barriers. A Koroka will appear; defeat it, preferably luring it out of the Dark Realm to end it.

Proceed to the missile source and defeat the two Yokis and one enemy with a gun.

Kill the Yoki and Dweller near the white house. Find and enter a cave on your left. Fight enemies inside and find a ladder. Avoid the stinky gunk for now.

Climb the ladder and defeat the Tessos. Enter the gunk to the left of the Namahage to find another ladder. You can drop an explosive barrel on the Namahage or fight it directly. Kill the nearby spider and find a human, Ryunojo, who is not an enemy.

If you have dung balls (obtained from Tessos), give them to Ryunojo. Giving him 30 (noble dung balls count as 2) yields items and a trophy. This is a grind and can be done later.

Past Ryunojo is a ladder that leads back to the first shrine.

Before killing the Namahage, find a Nure-kabe on the left wall below the stinky ooze pit, leading to Ryunojo's ladder. Defeat it to find a locked chest and Amrita.

After killing the Namahage, go through the tunnel behind it to reach the area under the bridge where you fought the missile-firing Yokis. A ladder goes back up, but backtracking is unnecessary. Fight the sub-boss Waira.

Mansion: This area has multiple floors. The first floor contains stink puddles that hinder Elixir use. Defeat the Tessos here. Find the fifth Kodama behind barrels on the frontmost wall.

The second floor has spider Yokai on one half and human enemies on the other. The third shrine is near the spider enemies.

On the third floor, find stairs hidden behind a paper door opposite the third shrine. Ascend and defeat enemies.

Cross a bridge into a Dark Realm. Defeat the Yoki, Large Skeleton Soldier, and Namahage to dispel it. Open a chest and a door leading to a dead end (for now).

Follow the path to a blue bridge. Cross it and pull a lever. You can open a door back to a red bridge.

Return to the room across the red bridge and pull a red lever. Go to the previously opened room. Cross the red and blue bridges. In a small room on the blue bridge, find the sixth Kodama.
