Part 35

Learn how to defeat Zedonius Part Two and Volf Part Two in Ninja Gaiden Black, plus strategies for Marionette Spiders and Centaurs.

Boss Battle: Zedonius - Part Two

Zedonius uses the same attacks and combos as before. Be aware that his attacks can knock Ryu into the lava water, causing significant health loss. Stay close to Zedonius to force him into melee combos. Use aggressive combos and maintain offensive pressure, but remain defensive as well. Do not waste time waiting for openings.

Objective: Watch Out For Exploding Jelly Fish

After defeating Zedonius, do not immediately cross the lava water to the exit. Exploding Jelly Fish are hidden and difficult to see, and attempting to run to the exit will result in death and a forced replay of the Zedonius battle. Grab arrows from a nearby dead body and shoot approximately 10-12 jelly fish into the lava water. When running towards the exit, be cautious as a few exploders may remain; run in a zigzag pattern.

Approach the Save Statue to replenish health. Open the chest containing Red Essence.

Exit the cavern to find Muramasa's Statue. Stock up on items and save your game.

Area: Forest of Shadows

New Enemy: Marionette Spiders

These robotic spider enemies use laser attacks and slicing combos. Defeat them with hard combos to the face. Utilize ON-LAND CHARGES before attacking to weaken them. Ultimate Techniques are not effective for instant kills. Continue attacking until they explode.

Clear the mid-forest area of all Marionette Spiders. As you approach the other side of the forest, more will appear. To avoid fighting them, dash back to the other side of the forest and use the Save Statue. When you return to fight them, they will have disappeared. Continue out of the forest and down the pathway.

New Enemy: Centaur

These enemies are similar to Samurai Horsemen. They attack while running. Let them approach you. Block their spear attack and counter with a hard combo as they turn.

Boss Battle: Volf - Part Two

Volf attacks alongside Centaurs. Evade Volf's Scythe attacks and stay close. When he misses, dash in and use aggressive combos to deplete his health. If Centaurs obstruct your view, use Wind Blades to clear them and continue focusing on Volf in close combat. Maintain aggression to defeat him quickly.

Defeating Volf completes the mission.

Chapter 13: The Underworld Abyss

Collect the HEART OF BESTIAL STORM from Volf's body and exit the arena. Approach Muramasa's Statue and stock up on health items.

Marionette Spiders: Enter the doorway to encounter Marionette Spiders.

Area: Antechamber #2

Marionette Spiders: More Marionette Spiders will ambush you. Use Wind Blades.
