Preparing for the True Ending

After returning to the open room, go left to a large open area. Drop down and head right to find a console. Hack it and read the Personal Diary.

Continue left through the rooms, defeating mutant enemies, until you find several chests containing money.

After the chests, go left before the staircase to find your Shanhai 9000. Watch the scene, defeat the mutant that emerges, and pick up the Friend Photo. You will earn the Found You trophy.

Go up the staircases to the main floor. Head to the upper-left door (ensure you have a full bar of Qi). If you have completed quests for Chiyou, you will find him here. Watch the scenes and promise to take care of his brother.

Proceed to the nearby room for a fight against Xingtian. This is a straightforward fight where you should parry his axe attacks, avoid falling debris, defeat any summoned Claw Corrupted enemies, and use Talismans to stop his healing.

After defeating Xingtian, you will earn the Rest for the Wicked trophy.

All exits are sealed. Enter one of the boxes to be transported to the Central Transport Hub.

Take the elevator up and follow the path back to the Pavilion. Head through the messy Pavilion to the right until you reach Ruyi. Watch the scenes.

After the scenes, return through the Pavilion and talk to Kuafu. During the conversation, choose the dialogue option: "I've thought it through... I want to help the Apemen survive."

After the scenes with Shuanshuan, you will receive the Rhizomatic Arrow.

Proceed to the New Kunlun Control Hub, located west of the Pavilion at the entrance to the large root tree.

Take the first elevator up to the meeting room of the Sols. Hack the console on the left side of the table and watch the Council Proceedings (all 3).

Take the other elevator up and check the console to obtain the Root Core Monitoring Device.

Save your game at the Root Node located to the right, under the red screen.

Head right to the next area to trigger scenes and initiate the final boss fight against Eigong.
