This section of the guide covers your progression through The Factory and its Underground areas in Nine Sols. You'll learn how to overcome environmental hazards, defeat new enemies, find valuable treasures, and ultimately acquire the crucial mid-air dash ability.

Walkthrough:

1. From the Pavilion, head west to the Cortex Center. Use your charge attack on the guard to proceed.
2. After a scripted scene in a control room, you'll find yourself back in the same area. Head left to a Root Node, then left again to a gate. Hack the node to open the gate.
3. Ascend using ropes and grapple points. On the right side, you'll find a Treasure Chest.
4. Head left and then down. Break a rock on the rope to access a lower area. Defeat the rock monster and hack two ropes to reach a chest on the right.
5. Continue down the normal path, using grapple points. At the bottom, head right to drop a rope for a shortcut, then drop further to find a chest containing the Kunlun Immortal Portrait.
6. Enter the "Factory (Great hall)". Head left, being mindful of flame trap floors (grating).
7. To the left, defeat soldiers and use trap floors to reach an upper platform. Ride a platform up to encounter the Flying Blade enemy.
8. To the left of the Flying Blade encounter, you'll find a room with a giant laser. Wait for the laser to end, then quickly go south, defeat the archer, and head left to hit a machine that protects you from the laser. Defeat the swordsman first.
9. From the laser room, go to the lower left for a Treasure Chest, then return. On the next cycle, head to the upper left, defeat the archer, and pass the flame trap to find a Root Node.
10. Heal at the Root Node, then head left to hack a chest for a Standard Component. Enter the next laser room, hit the green device to your left for protection, and collect the Treasure Chest to your lower right. Drop down to reach the "Factory (Underground)".
11. Open the immediate Treasure Chest for the Swift Descent Jade. Head right to exit back to the Factory and unlock a shortcut door.
12. Return to the underground and head left. After passing red spikes, choose the right path down to find the
