New Silkbind Attack: Harvest Moon

Harvest Moon allows the Long Sword to place a large Ironsilk ring on the floor. Spirit attacks made inside this ring do not deplete the Spirit gauge while it is active. Additionally, counters performed within the ring gain additional hits. However, you are limited to fighting within the ring until it dissipates.

How to unlock Harvest Moon

This technique is learned early in the expansion by defeating the Daimyo Hermitaur from Rondine's quest. This leads to Elgado, where talking to Master Arlow and then Master Utsushi will grant you the first set of new Switch Skills, including Harvest Moon.

New Switch Skill: Sacred Sheathe Combo

The Sacred Sheathe Combo is a new Switch Skill that allows you to sheathe, charge, and unleash a powerful slash attack after a regular attack. The damage of this attack scales with your Spirit Gauge level.

How to unlock Sacred Sheathe Combo

This technique is unlocked similarly to Harvest Moon: by defeating the Daimyo Hermitaur from Rondine's quest, which allows access to Elgado. Speaking with Master Arlow and then Master Utsushi will provide the first batch of new Switch Skills, including the Sacred Sheathe Combo.

New Switch Skill: Tempered Spirit Blade

Tempered Spirit Blade is a parry with a strict timing requirement. Successfully executing it fills your Spirit Gauge and raises it by one level.

How to unlock Tempered Spirit Blade

After completing the MR3★ Urgent Quest “Ice Wolf, Red Moon” and reaching Master Rank 4, you can unlock the second batch of Switch Skills, including Tempered Spirit Blade, by speaking with Master Utsushi in the Kamura Gathering Hub.

Switch Skill Swap

While not a new skill itself, Switch Skill Swap is a new system that enables you to change your equipped skills mid-battle. You can customize two sets of skills (red and blue scrolls) at an Item Box in the hub or in a tent during a quest. In battle, you can swap between these sets to access different skills. The system also includes the Swap Evade, allowing you to evade in any direction by pressing the roll button after swapping sets.
