Character Creation: The Seeker

Customize your Seeker in MindsEye: choose appearance and Cognitive Affinity to influence starting stats and dialogue options.

Upon starting a new game, you'll enter the Character Creation screen. While MindsEye doesn't offer traditional class selection, you will customize your 'Seeker' – the protagonist. This involves choosing your character's appearance (gender, facial features, hair, etc.) and, more importantly, selecting your initial 'Cognitive Affinity'. These affinities (e.g., Empath, Analyst, Tactician) provide starting bonuses to specific mental attributes and unlock unique dialogue options or early-game abilities. For instance, an Empath might have higher starting Insight and better persuasion checks, while an Analyst might excel in deciphering puzzles. Choose wisely, as this choice subtly influences your early gameplay experience and narrative interactions.
