.3L.01. Illium Assignments

Complete Mass Effect Legendary Edition Illium Assignments like Gianna Parasini, System Hacking, and The Observer for rewards like credits and discounts.

Illium: Gianna Parasini

If Gianna Parasini was not killed in Mass Effect 1 by double-crossing her, she will have an assignment for you. Speak to the Merchant located by the Serrice Technology kiosk. If you choose to help Gianna, ensure you obtain the Merchant's discount first; otherwise, you will be unable to speak with her. If you choose to help the Merchant, she will give you a discount before fleeing, but you will not receive completion experience for the assignment.

Illium: System Hacking

Speak with Liara upstairs. Proceed to the southern Transportation area and hack three terminals sequentially. After each hack, you will have approximately one minute to locate the correct server for data upload. There are three upload sites: one near Baria Frontiers, the second near Memories of Illium, and the third near Officer Dara. Use the distance meter and targeting system (a part of your Heads-Up Display, or HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)) to find the servers if you encounter difficulties. Completing this assignment unlocks The Observer assignment. Speaking with Liara also allows you to progress the two recruitment missions on Illium.

Illium: A Troublemaker

Go to the Eternity bar, where a troublemaker is located at the bar. Speak to Conrad, get him to stop talking, and then inform the bartender that you will investigate the issue. Travel to the southeastern section of Illium and Gateway Personal Defense to speak with the Weapons Merchant. Persuade her and return to Eternity. By persuading her, you will receive a discount at Gateway Personal Defense. If you chose the paragon (morally good) option, you will have another persuasion option at the bar. Regardless of the path, he will open a charity in your name, making the primary difference Morality points.

Illium: Persuade the Asari

This is a straightforward, though unusual, quest. Go to the Asari near Memories of Illium who is being serenaded by Charr the Krogan. Persuade her to make a decision. Either outcome will grant you a discount at the nearby kiosk.

Illium: The Observer

To finish this quest, hack the Datapoints located in the northern part of Illium. After hacking all five terminals, call Liara. Inform her that no one fits the profile. She will then identify the Observer and handle the situation herself. Upon returning to her, you can uncover Liara's true story behind her current role as an information broker by asking her about her "Anger at the Shadow Broker.".

Illium: Medical Scans

Speak with the Zhu's Hope representative near Officer Dara. Then, speak with Erinya, the Baria Frontiers Representative nearby. As you investigate, you will have the option to question her past further and persuade her. Inform the Zhu's Hope representative of the outcome to complete the assignment.

Illium: Indentured Service

Speak to the Slave Broker after completing the Troublemaker mission. To resolve the situation, either speak to the Synthetic Insights Representative and persuade her to hire the Quarian, or convince the Asari to release the Quarian from her indentured servitude contract. Note that the persuasion requirements for the S.I. Rep are higher than in previous quests, but speaking to the Slave Broker has lower requirements. There is a slight bug where if you do not persuade the S.I. Rep the first time, you can still complete the quest, then persuade the S.I. Rep to hire the Quarian after the assignment is technically finished, earning a few extra Morality points.
