Walkthrough:

The Vanguard class utilizes Shotguns, Heavy Pistols, and Submachine Guns. Its strengths lie in its ease of achieving the Brawler Achievement and its decent effectiveness against armor and non-defensive foes. However, it struggles against shields and barriers, requiring careful positioning and patience against multiple enemies.

Recommended Level 30 Build:

1. Squad Incendiary Ammo (4)
2. Cryo Ammo (1)
3. Area Charge (4)
4. Improved Shockwave (4)
5. Pull (0)
6. Destroyer (4)

Advanced Training Recommendations:

• Heavy Reave (4) or Squad Warp Ammo (4)

Reave is an enhanced Warp power that is strong against Barriers and Armor. It also heals the player for a small amount of HP. Warp Ammo is a viable alternative to Incendiary Ammo, allowing for an evolution of Pull Field with the points saved. Warp Ammo is versatile, effective against Armor and Barrier, and synergizes with biotic-affected enemies for bonus damage.

Energy Drain is another consideration, particularly effective against Shields and Synthetics. It also replenishes the player's Shields. However, its utility is limited to these enemy types.

Defensive powers like Barrier, Fortification, or Shield Boost can provide more survivability, allowing for more aggressive use of Charge. However, on higher difficulties, offensive powers are generally preferred due to the prevalence of enemies with defenses, against which the base Vanguard lacks effective abilities.
