Hey there! So you're diving into Marvel Rivals and want to know about the coolest outfits, huh? Let's talk about Costumes. They're basically how you can make your heroes look unique in the game, and while they don't change how a hero plays, the really high-rarity ones come with some neat extras. As of May 01, 2026, there are a whopping 423 Costumes and 70 Chromas available across all 49 Playable Characters in Marvel Rivals. ### Costume Rarities Costumes are sorted into three tiers: * RARE: These are usually simple recolors of a hero's default look, sometimes inspired by comics. A couple of exceptions exist where a full model change happens for seasonal or Battle Pass exclusive costumes, which are often comic-inspired. When you see these in previews, they'll have the hero's default silhouette in the background. * EPIC: These give your heroes a full model change! Think game-original designs, or looks inspired by the comics or the MCU. Some might even have Additional Sound Effects. For example, Storm's Mohawk Rock skin has a unique guitar tune when you switch your aura (using LSHIFT) instead of the usual sound. In previews, Epic costumes have a simple-themed background with the hero's icon. * LEGENDARY: These are the top-tier costumes, also giving your heroes a full model change. Like Epic ones, they can be game-original, comic-inspired, or MCU-based. When you select a Legendary costume, you'll get a Cinematic Character Intro Feature. The preview backgrounds are super detailed with set pieces and the hero's icon. Plus, these costumes can have Additional Sound Effects or New Gameplay Animations. ### Notable Legendary Costumes Right now, we've seen a couple of Legendary costumes pop up: * Bloody Butler (Elsa Bloodstone) * Netherworld Noble (Magik) Keep an eye out for these awesome looks as you play! ### Other Costumes You Might See Besides the top rarities, you'll also find: * EPIC: The Avengers (Iron Man), The Avengers (Loki), Alluring Ace (Gambit) Remember, no matter the costume, the hero's abilities and gameplay remain the same.
