They excel in dealing consistent damage from a distance, often with the added benefit of tracking and controlling their environment. A well-built Ranger can be the backbone of your offensive strategy, capable of picking off key targets before they can threaten your party.

Rangers are proficient with bows and crossbows, making Ranged Attack their primary means of offense. Their unique class abilities often revolve around their connection to nature and their keen senses. Look for abilities like Hunter's Mark, which designates a target, increasing all damage dealt to it by 10% for 30 seconds, and Rapid Shot, allowing for two attacks in a single turn with a slight reduction in accuracy. As you progress, you'll gain access to more potent skills such as Volley, which fires multiple arrows in a cone, hitting all enemies within the area, and Animal Companion, summoning a loyal beast to fight alongside you, providing an additional source of damage and utility.

When allocating attribute points, prioritize Dexterity, as it directly impacts accuracy and critical hit chance with ranged weapons. Strength is also important for weapon damage, and a moderate investment in Constitution will improve survivability.
