On the rooftop finale of the No Mercy campaign, a Smoker (an infected type) often waits on the corner directly across from the fire escape.

When a survivor (player) emerges, the Smoker will typically grab them and drag them off the roof, resulting in an instant kill.

Conversely, this is a great tactic for playing as the infected.

For playing as the Tank (another special infected), a recommended strategy involves having two shotgunners in front, crouched down, and two SMGers or Assault Riflers standing in the back.
