Phases & Attacks:

  1. Phase 1 (Melee Attacks): The monk will slowly lumber towards you, attempting to strike with his staff. His attacks are slow but deal significant damage.
  2. Phase 2 (Spirit Orbs): After taking some damage, he may start summoning slow-moving spirit orbs that home in on your position.

Strategy (Utsuki):

This is Utsuki's first major challenge. Your best strategy is hit-and-run. Keep your distance, wait for him to commit to an attack, then quickly run in, land 1-2 knife strikes, and immediately quick-turn and run away. Repeat this process. The spirit orbs can be dodged by running in a wide circle. If you have any Binding Talismans, use them to temporarily stun him, allowing for more free hits. Conserve your Healing Herbs. Focus on patience and evasion.

Weaknesses:

  • Slow Movement: Easily outmaneuvered.
  • Vulnerable to Stuns: Binding Talismans are highly effective.

Rewards:

  • Master's Key: Unlocks a crucial area on the second floor.
  • Healing Elixir: A valuable health restoration item.
