Master the challenging Yozora boss fight in Kingdom Hearts III's Secret Episode. Learn his attack patterns, prepare your items, and find the best strategies to win.

Alright, so you've made it to the Secret Episode in Kingdom Hearts III, and you're about to face Yozora. This guy is no joke, seriously one of the toughest challenges in the whole game. Before you even think about jumping in, you absolutely need to get your inventory sorted.

Preparation is Key:

  • Healing Items: Stock up on as many Elixirs as you can find. If Elixirs are too much of a hassle to farm, then Hi-Potions are your next best bet. Forget Ethers; there's a nasty mechanic in this fight that shuts down your magic, so you'll be relying on physical attacks and healing.
  • Kupo Coin: You know that Kupo Coin that's been super useful in the Limitcut episodes? Leave it behind for this fight. Yozora can actually steal it from you and use it on himself, which is the last thing you want. Better safe than sorry here.

Once you're all geared up, save your game, exit the menu, and brace yourself. Watch that cutscene, and get ready for a serious fight.

Understanding Yozora's Attacks:

Yozora is a brutal opponent, and honestly, just surviving his onslaught is a victory in itself at first. This is a two-phase battle, and his moveset changes significantly after his Desperation Move. He can even pull out that Desperation Move right at the start sometimes, just to keep you on your toes!

1. Teleport Attack:

This is one of his signature moves. He'll teleport around, mixing in lasers and sword strikes. The good news is, you can block most of it. The tricky part is the end: he'll leave a sword behind Sora. To avoid this, you need to run backward and then block. This gives you a small window to Air Step over to Yozora and land some hits. Timing that final sword strike block is crucial; dodging away won't work, as it'll track you and lock you into a combo. He also has a simpler version of this attack without the lasers, but you still need to block that final sword after the sixth slash and then run back.

2. Laser Barrage:

Yozora will leap into the air and fire nine lasers at you. Again, blocking is possible, but you need to nail the timing. If you can count them as you block, you can roll through the final double laser and counter-attack. Mastering this is one of the best ways to deal damage.

3. Charged Sword Attack:

Keep an eye out for Yozora glowing red from a distance. This signals a charged sword attack, which is a slash followed by two more. You can block this, but be ready.

4. Aggressive Rush:

If you're unlucky, Yozora might rush you down right from the start of the fight, or at any point during it. This means he's closing in fast, so be ready to react.
