Stats / Weaknesses:

• Ansem is a technical boss focused on Darkness-based attacks.
• Air Step is crucial for closing distance and attacking.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Ansem uses Dark Missiles, Dark Mines, Energy Balls, Claw Trap, and Darkness Waves.
2. Desperation Move: The arena transforms into a shadowy realm with two large Dark Orbs. Guard through the barrage and counter-attack. Failure to avoid can lead to massive damage and a reset.

Strategy:

• Dark Missiles: Deflect barrages and counter-attack if close enough.
• Dark Mines: Deflect if close, otherwise dodge. Be prepared for a second dodge after Claw Trap.
• Energy Balls: Dodge at the last moment or deflect. Can be used with other attacks.
• Energy Barrier: Ansem becomes invulnerable. Keep distance or deflect through it.
• Claw Trap: Dodge if a shadow appears beneath Sora. Often followed by Dark Mines. Use this opening for Shotlock and Air Step attacks.
• Darkness Waves: Three fast waves across the screen. Cannot be deflected, dodge to the side. Often follows Energy Barrier.
• Desperation Move: Guard through the Dark Orb barrage. Follow up with Air Step for a counter-attack. Avoid being trapped by Ansem at the end.
