Alright, let's talk about Saïx. This guy is a real challenge, especially during his Desperation Move, and he can wipe you out in seconds if you're not prepared. The whole fight really hinges on managing his Berserk gauge, which you'll see in the top left. It fills up to yellow, then blue, and when it's blue, Saïx is at his absolute most dangerous. The trick to keeping him less threatening is to cast Blizzaga on him when the gauge starts charging from yellow to blue. This is super important for limiting how often he goes full Berserk.

Saïx kicks off the fight with his yellow gauge already filled. His initial attacks are a series of Axe combos that you can actually block pretty well, and these blocks create openings for you to strike back. He also uses Shockwave attacks, which are these purple waves that travel outwards. If you're far away, they're easy to dodge, but if he's close, you'll likely get hit, leaving you wide open for one of his Axe combos.

When you're at a distance, Saïx will also throw his Axe at you. This one spins and comes right at you – it's unblockable! If it hits, you'll get stunned, making you a sitting duck for another barrage of attacks. Since these are unblockable, your best bet is to just keep moving and throw in the occasional Blizzaga to slow down that Berserk gauge.

Saïx is at his most terrifying during his Desperation Move, which happens when his Berserk gauge hits blue. Seriously, forget attacking him during this phase. Just focus on dodging and wait for the gauge to go down, because he can absolutely end you in moments. It starts with a shockwave that knocks you back, and then he summons multiple Axes that circle him before flying out at you. These Axes cause explosions when they hit the ground, and he'll keep following up with more Shockwaves you'll need to dodge. Your best bet here, besides using your Links, is to just keep moving and weave between his attacks.

When he throws his Axes during the Desperation Mode, he'll throw one first, then the rest all at once, and they'll home in on Sora. So, make sure you keep dodging, especially after that first throw. The most dangerous part is when Saïx goes on a rampage, slamming his Axe into the ground as he dashes across the arena, creating explosions all around him. This is a super fast attack, and you'll be dealing with unblockable Axe throws while trying to dodge these explosions. Keep a close eye on that gauge; as it empties, he'll do one final finisher, slashing across the arena and leaving Shockwaves behind. This is incredibly tough to avoid, but try to leap high and use Glide to minimize your chances of getting hit.

Once his Desperation Mode is over, though, that's your prime opportunity to get in some free hits. He'll be stunned for a short period, so take advantage of it!
