Unlock the secrets of Keep Driving's vehicle types! Learn about Base, Tuned, Advanced, Prototype, and Cop cars to dominate every race, road rage, and pursuit.

Alright, let's talk cars in Keep Driving. Every class has four different types, and they all handle and perform differently. You'll usually start with the Base Model in each class, and you'll need to unlock the other three. How do you get more? Mostly by completing Face Offs and sometimes they're just awarded to you after other events.

Here's the breakdown:

  • Base Model — These are your starting cars, the all-rounders. Good at pretty much everything, so they're a solid introduction to each class.
  • Tuned — These are built for Heatwave mode. Every Heatwave you pull off gets a +2mph boost to its top speed. They're faster than the Base Models, grab boost quickly, and use it efficiently. If you can keep those risks chaining, they can be seriously fast, potentially the fastest in their class. Visually, they're usually the regular car but with a big rear wing added.
  • Advanced — These heavy hitters are your go-to for Road Rages. Their added weight makes performing Takedowns a lot easier. The catch? Wrecks stay on the track, so too many Takedowns can litter the course, making races tricky. They're the slowest, with poor acceleration and handling because of all that weight. They tend to look more aggressive.
  • Prototype — Ready for pure racing, these cars can handle anything the road throws at you and are super nimble with their steering. They're generally the best for racing and setting high Leaderboard records. The downside is their light weight makes them really fragile, so they're terrible for Takedowns and can be taken out easily, especially by Advanced vehicles. They're built for speed, not for smashing. You'll often spot them with a carbon fiber body and a roll cage.
  • Cop — These are strictly for Pursuit mode. They come equipped with sirens, which you can toggle or change using the analog sticks. Interestingly, there are three types of Cop cars: Sedan, SUV, and Supercar. They look pretty cool, and their license plates are a neat little nod to Smokey and The Bandit.
