- 1Begin on foot with your Elephant tank pinned down by JiralHanae (Brutes). Establish your base, producing forces and using the Elephant's turrets to defend your position.
- 2As you attempt to break out, Spartan Red Team will arrive to assist.
- 3Forge will question Serina about the lack of Covenant activity, leading to an explanation and the arrival of Red Team reinforcements.
- 4While fighting Brutes, two other Elephants will be lost to unknown forces. You are ordered to investigate and rescue Echo and India squads.
- 5Set up your Elephant in a clearing to produce troops. Optionally, send a squad east to find the Black Box on a cliff near the starting point.
- 6Move west, following wreckage to find the lost Elephants and squads. Fight off Flood forces and liberate your comrades, bringing them back to base. You must keep all three Elephants alive.
- 7Transport the Elephants to safe locations and quickly build up your base to repel enemy attacks.
- 8The Elephants are located due east and southeast of your initial drop point, along a downward-curving path. Expect heavy resistance. Flamethrowers are effective against Flood infantry and spores. Avoid spore clouds to prevent infantry infection.
- 9Use Spartans for scouting due to their immunity to infection and high survivability. Identify enemy positions and liberate your squads while reinforcements arrive.
- 10Be cautious of egg sacs throughout the area, which may contain supplies or infectious spores.
- 11Captain Cutter will request a report. Forge will reveal that Echo and India squads have been compromised by non-Brute forces.
- 12Liberate the first Elephant and transport it back to your new base. Set up your Elephants around the base for defense. Hold off Flood troops until you can establish a foothold, then move to rescue the second Elephant. Consider leaving Elephants behind to produce Marines for faster movement.
- 13The final objectives are to save the remaining Elephant and rescue all trapped Marines. After liberating both, retreat to end the mission.
