Learn how to set up Quick and Custom Races in Gran Turismo 7, including credit farming strategies and Sophy AI details.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Quick Race: Select this option to immediately start a race on a chosen track with a selected car.
  2. 2
Custom Race: This mode offers extensive control over your race setup. You can adjust race distance, your starting position, fuel and tire usage multipliers, and realism settings for damage, off-track grip, and penalties. You can also create custom starting grids by selecting cars from your garage for each AI opponent and even naming them.
  3. 3
Sophy AI (PS5 Only): If playing on PlayStation 5, Sophy AI is available on select tracks. This feature provides stronger and more realistic CPU opponents, offering a different challenge compared to standard AI.
Tips
  • To maximize credit earnings in Quick and Custom Races, you can increase payouts by up to 400% (x5 normal credits). This is achieved by reaching Collector Level 50 or higher (earning 200%) and completing the Track Experience tests at each location (earning another 200%).
  • For effective credit grinding, set up a Custom Race with a low Performance Points (PP) car for yourself and higher PP cars for the AI. You can then change your car's tires and/or parts before the race to ensure you can beat the AI. The payout is locked when the race is created, so winning with this setup rewards more credits than a normal win.
  • Be aware that races longer than an hour will reduce the ratio of prize money per lap or minute. While a 24-hour custom race is possible, it is primarily for enjoyment rather than significant rewards.
