The Dragon Knight — Gloria Victis Walkthrough

Defeat The Dragon Knight in Gloria Victis. Learn its Fiery Breath attack and positioning tactics to survive its powerful onslaught in contested zones like Syrn.

Location: A rare and powerful boss, often found in the most dangerous, high-level contested zones, such as the 'Syrnock Mountains' or 'Stoneholm'. Its spawn is a major global event.

Phases & Abilities:

1. Fiery Breath (Cone AoE): The Knight breathes fire in a cone in front of him, dealing massive fire damage. Tanks must face him away from the group, and everyone else must avoid the cone.
2. Flaming Sword Combo: A series of powerful melee swings that apply a 'Burn' debuff, dealing fire damage over time.
3. Summon Dragon Whelps: Summons small, fast-moving dragon whelps that harass ranged players and healers. Must be quickly dispatched.
4. Ground Slam (Knockdown AoE): Slams his sword into the ground, creating a shockwave that knocks down nearby players. Can be dodged or blocked with good timing.
5. Dragon's Roar (Buff/Debuff): The Knight roars, empowering himself (increased damage) and debuffing nearby players (reduced damage output).

Strategy:

• Tanks: Absolutely critical. Maintain aggro, face the Knight away from the group, and manage 'Burn' debuffs. High fire resistance gear is recommended.
• Melee DPS: Attack from the sides or back. Be ready to move out of Fiery Breath and Ground Slam. Switch to Whelps immediately.
• Ranged DPS/Healers: Maintain maximum distance. Focus on the Knight, but prioritize Whelps. Dispel 'Burn' and heal through 'Dragon's Roar' debuffs.
• Group Coordination: This boss requires precise movement and communication. Call out all abilities. Be prepared for intense PvP as other factions will undoubtedly try to contest this valuable kill.
