First Steps: The Tutorial & Starting Quests

Start your journey in Gloria Victis with the tutorial quests. Master basic combat, resource gathering, and crafting to begin your adventure.

After character creation, you'll be placed in your nation's starting zone. Follow the initial tutorial quests marked with a yellow exclamation mark (!). These quests are designed to introduce you to core mechanics:

1. Basic Combat: You'll be taught how to attack, block, and dodge against training dummies or weak enemies.
2. Gathering Resources: Learn to chop wood, mine stone, and gather herbs, which are vital for crafting and economy.
3. Crafting: The tutorial will guide you through crafting basic tools or weapons at a crafting station.
4. Questing & NPCs: Understand how to accept and complete quests from NPCs, and turn them in for rewards.
5. Inventory Management: Learn to equip items, manage your weight, and store items in your personal chest.

Completing these quests provides initial gear, experience, and a basic understanding of the game world. Don't rush; take your time to absorb the information. These early quests are your safest opportunity to learn without significant risk.
