Guide to the Crimson Flower route in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, covering Chapter 12 through Chapter 14, including dialogue choices and battle strategies.
Chapter 12
Date: 3/30
Dialogue: Reply "I love it". All members of your house, including recruited students and faculty (except Flayn), will have sided with Edelgard. You can no longer increase support with Hilda, Dedue, Dimitri, Claude, Rhea, Gilbert, Seteth, Flayn, Catherine, and Cyril.
Preparation: Talk to everyone in your temporary base and prepare for battle. Dialogue options include Dorothea: "We will not lose" and Edelgard: "We have to try".
Battle Phase 1: Defeat Seteth, Gilbert, and their troops. Gilbert is the toughest opponent; consider leaving him for last. Use the ballistae (catapults) in the middle of town for your archers.
Battle Phase 2: After defeating the first phase enemies, Rhea, Catherine, and Cyril will appear. The gates to the inner battlefield will open, guarded by two large statue monsters. Defeat these monsters and the enemy troops. Catherine is a major threat, as is Cyril if left unchecked. Rhea will not act until attacked and is the easiest to defeat once all other enemies are gone; use a ballista on the castle walls near her.
Chapter 13
Date: 12/28
Post-Time Skip: Your students and recruited allies have grown stronger and can now give seminars. You have one free day before the next major battle; exploring is recommended. You can only interact with characters recruited during this route. Students can also give advanced drills (faculty training).
Dialogue Options:
- Felix: "You're right"
- Caspar: "I'm counting on you"
- Bernadetta: "That's the spirit"
- Ingrid: "Can you fight your homeland?"
- Lysithea: "You have to cast aside your doubts"
- Annette: "Does that frighten you?"
- Raphael: "You look very strong"
- Lindhardt: "Morning.......nap?"
- Hanneman: "We can talk about that"
- Leoni: "Promise?"
Lost items no longer appear. Hubert has a supply delivery quest requiring ingredients you may need to grow or buy. An NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) in the entrance hall offers a normal combat quest.
Date: 12/31
Battle Warning: You will likely face unrecruited former allies, who will be replaced by strong faceless generals if you did not recruit them. Units should be in the late level 20s or 30s (on Hard difficulty).
Battle Objective: Your team is split into two. The main objective is to kill Judith, the enemy commander. She is protected by armored knights, brawlers, archers, and cavalry. Behind her is Ignatz with the Brave Bow (or an archer if Ignatz was recruited). The archer behind Judith is strong and can perform up to 4 attacks.
Reinforcements (After ~5 turns):
- Group 1: Appears where your smaller second unit is, led by Leoni (or a Cavalry soldier if Leoni was recruited), with 2 wyvern riders and 3 archers. They focus on nearby units.
- Group 2: Led by Acheron with several Cavalry. They do not move until approached.
A ballista or catapult is located next to a treasure chest, usable against Acheron or nearby enemies. If Leoni or Acheron is slain, Acheron flees, and Judith orders her troops to retreat via an escape path where Acheron was. You must eliminate Judith before she escapes.
Strategy: Eliminate as many enemies as possible before reinforcements arrive. Use gambits to lock down cavalry and wyvern riders. Kill other units, leaving cavalry or Leoni alive until the end. Your main unit can clean up remaining enemies. Kill the cavalry or Judith before they escape.
Chapter 14
Date: 1/4
Dialogue Options:
- Petra: "That's part of your charm"
- Ingrid: "I understand the sentiment"
Exploration is not required but recommended due to quests.
