  5. 5
Talk to a creature with a question mark above its head to watch a scene; it will tell you to visit Cemetery.
  6. 6
Before going to Cemetery, talk to Aria (the one with blue "Clerk" above her head) to watch a scene. She sells items, but they are not needed now.
  7. 7
Proceed to Back Garden and follow the path to Cemetery to watch a scene. The Cemetery's gate will show a question mark.
  8. 8
You have 6 hours of free time, shown at the lower right corner of the screen.
  9. 9
Head back to Classroom Zero to retrieve information about free time and events.
  10. 10
Return to Hallway to watch a scene about the Relic Terminal.
  11. 11
Return to Entrance and approach the red portal in the center to watch a scene with Aki. Ignore this portal for now.

  15. 15
Cross any red barrier and talk to a person with blue "Clerk" above his head to retrieve information.

  17. 17
Go straight and upstairs to Central Command.
  18. 18
Talk to the 3 persons with question marks above their heads to retrieve information about SP (Support Personnel) and SPP (Support Personnel Points).
  19. 19
Talk to the SPP Post (the clerk in the center) to use SPP instead of money for items or equipment.
  20. 20
Talk to Tachinami (the clerk in the back) to remove excessive free time hours and begin the next story mission. It is not recommended to waste free time as future events will exceed available time.

Exit Central Command and turn left to Crystarium.
  22. 22
Talk to a person with a question mark to retrieve information.
  23. 23
Examine the book to open the Rubicus, which serves as your journal.
  24. 24
Leave Crystarium and approach the Great Portal in the center, then choose "Sorcery".
  25. 25
Talk to a person with a question mark to retrieve information.
  26. 26
Talk to the person with blue "Clerk" above his head to retrieve information about Special Orders (S.O.). Allow him to provide S.O. in all missions.
  27. 27
Dr. Al-Rashia appears in Crystarium with an exclamation mark above her head. Trigger this event (costs 2 hours of free time) to obtain a Hi-Potion as a reward. Moglin also gives an E-item.

Events

  • Free time is used to trigger optional events that offer rewards like items and equipment.
  • A free time period occurs after each main story mission, with different unlockable events.
  • Each event consumes 2 hours of free time.
  • Most events are independent, but some NPCs have consecutive events.
  • You have 6 hours of free time, allowing for a maximum of 3 events. There are exactly 3 events available now.
  • The first event is with Dr. Al-Rashia in Crystarium, costing 2 hours and rewarding a Hi-Potion.

SP (Support Personnel)

  • SP are backup NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) cadets called during missions to help defeat enemies and collect SPP.
  • SP collect more SPP when they stay alive.
  • SP are dismissed when defeated or their summoning time expires.
  • The game offers to call SP before each mission; it's not recommended for story missions as party member leveling is more important.
  • SPP cannot be farmed during story missions; it's better to decline the offer and farm SPP later via network play with a friend.

S.O. (Special Orders)

  • Special Orders are bonus challenges that can appear during missions.
  • Completing an accepted S.O. yields a reward; failing results in a death penalty, increasing casualties.
  • Rejecting S.O. offers is recommended to avoid casualties.
  • Main S.O.: Triggered by entering specific areas or fulfilling conditions. Always have the same objective. Marked by a red envelope in the upper left corner. Completing their objectives for the first time yields a fixed reward; repeated successful attempts give Elixir. Recommended to clear on the first mission attempt for good rewards.
  • Random S.O.: Random challenges that pop up during enemy encounters. Marked by a white envelope in the upper left corner. Objectives and rewards are random and less valuable than Main S.O. rewards. It is recommended to skip all random S.O. due to the risk versus reward.
Tips
  • Visit every area within Akademeia as suggested by Moglin.
  • Do not worry about the 6 hours of free time ticking down; focus on exploring and triggering events.
  • It is not recommended to waste free time by ending the mission early, as more events will become available later than the time you will have.
  • The Rubicus serves as your journal, but most entries will be empty at the beginning of the game.
