  5. 5
Defeat the bandits who ambush you.

Your dog is now hurt. Walk up to your dog, press RB (the button to interact with your dog), choose 'Dog', then choose 'Heal'.
  8. 8
Enter Thag's house and open the chest to find Thag's Cage Key, Rancid Beef Jerky, and 300 gold.
  9. 9
You can also grab the Grubby Journal from his bed.
  10. 10

  12. 12
Once inside, turn right towards an archway leading into a building.

Go up to your dog. When the book icon appears on your D-Pad (directional pad), press down to "upgrade" your dog. You can buy better books later.
  23. 23
Do as you wish until Theresa arrives. You can check out the Pub Game in "The Cow & Corset" bar, buy new clothing, or work as a blacksmith.
  24. 24
When Theresa arrives, she will be standing near the bar. Walk up to her and she will speak to you. You will be able to use an expression with the D-Pad for the first time in this scene.
  25. 25
Follow Theresa, and she will show you The Spire.

  32. 32
Down the hill, you will have an opportunity to ambush bandits; do so. There is also a Demon Door in this area.

  48. 48
A Rusty Turret Pistol can be found in a Dive spot under the bridge here.
  49. 49
Follow the golden trail up to The Temple of Light. The abbot will state he does not trust you enough and you need more Renown Points.
  50. 50
He will inform you of a bandit problem in Rookridge. The "A Bridge Too Far" quest is technically a side quest; refer to the Side Quests section for completion details.
  51. 51

If you have enough Renown for the abbot to trust you, go to The Temple of Light and speak to him.
  53. 53
Walk with the abbot as he explains the next steps.
  54. 54
Follow the golden trail to Hannah, who is by the Wellspring Cave. You will hear her singing as you approach.
